I have a problem. I want to get dreds, but am unsure of the technique that i should use.confused3 I am leaning towards getting a dred-perm because my hair is so long and i don't want to take the time out to do longer methods and they look more crisp then the natural dreds (and i need to impress all the ladies). But the perm is so expensive, that i don't know what to do. I am only 15 and have never gotten dreds before. so i need help. what should i do??

anahita´s hair butter
The same basic blend as the body butter, with the essential addition of tea-tree oil to cleanse and moisturize your scalp. The ideal conditioning pomade for anyone with curly, strong-willed hair. Never greasy.

No. I would do them as naturally as possible. You want to stay with the texture and feel of natural hair at all times and away from chemicals at all costs.

The key is to keep them dreded, but unlocked by having them washed, conditioned and separated at least once a month. I use the Anahita hair butter in mine to keep them fresh (and the tea tree oil cleans as well) between hair appointments.

It's an expensive undertaking, but not nearly as expensive (or damaging) as constant perms. Both procedures together will only do more damage to your hair.

Shea butter [and extra virgin olive oil] are going to strengthen, shine and moisturize dreds - just don't neglect them in the growing process or throughout the life of the time that you wear them, which, for me, will be for life.

DOWN WITH PERMS!!!

The Anahita hair butter contains shea butter and a little beeswax, as well as tea tree oil.

It's an individual thing. Everyone's hair grows at a different pace. You may want to consult a natural hairstylist for specifics.

I have a question.  I want to dred my hair but my perm has not come all out yet.  Do I have to cut my hair to start my dreds?

I been looking at so many sites about dreadlocks recently but you would be suprised how many are for WHITE people LOL... It's real strange but anyway, Im not put off.  Been planning them for a while now.  SOOOO

If anyone can point me in the right direction  confused3
