Hey BlackMatta,

How you doing? You made me LMAO with this one as I've heard them too many times before and I don't even have to ask who you get the questions from. You know what though, sometimes people are so inna that you can't say it nicer because they just won't get it so...this is what I usually say.

I would like to take this opportunity to humbly draw on your experience in finding better ways to answer the following questions without losing the essence of what I am trying to say...

1.  Go anywhere nice for your holiday? :)

None of your f**king business!!

No! Even if you are.
2.  Can I try some of that, please? :D

Don't even think of putting your greasy paws near my lunch!

No!
3.  It's OK, he won't bite, he's very friendly.;)

Get that grubby animal of yours on a lead before I boot it into the hedge.

It's not ok with me. Whether he does or not move it away from me.
4.  Doing anything special tonight?banana.gif

Mind your own f**king business!!

No!
5.  Go on, give us a smile.;)

mad-moonie  What for? there's nothing to smile about.

(Please feel free to add any further examples of handling difficult questions).

BlackMatta.

I noticed that the longer the response the more option there is to try and make conversation of whatever you say. I used to feel obligated to respond and kept getting caught by the ongoing questions after it that usually end up getting too personal. Usually when you say No and leave it at that, you can go about your business. No need to talk if you don't feel to. If they object or push up their face so be it, I'm sure someone else will entertian them LOL. Of course if they persist you could always switch and ask "why is it so importnat that you know?"

Sometimes it's not what you say, it's how you say it.

Personally I've been accused of being aggressive when someone has asked me the time, for example, and I've told them but in an agressive way. I didn't mean to, but you may have interrupted my train of thought.

Now, to your questions...

1.  Go anywhere nice for your holiday? :)

None of your f**king business!!

I'm not sure yet. Where are you going?

2.  Can I try some of that, please? :D

Don't even think of putting your greasy paws near my lunch!

Is that nice?

3.  It's OK, he won't bite, he's very friendly.;)

Get that grubby animal of yours on a lead before I boot it into the hedge.

Move that fleabitten animal from me, or I'll kick it to kingdom come (some occasions do not warrant politeness!)

4.  Doing anything special tonight?banana.gif

Mind your own f**king business!!

Not sure yet. Are you?

5.  Go on, give us a smile.;)

:X

Sometimes it's best to turn the questions back unless, of course, they'll give you their entire life story!

Yes, if you are

If you don't want to tell them, (why I don't know!), say something like: "I'd rather not say thank you".

2.  Can I try some of that, please? :D

"I'd rather you didn't",  if you don't want them to, but why not let them try confused3

3.  It's OK, he won't bite, he's very friendly.;)

Boy it's really something when someone does not know how to be nice anymore!

Is this what is meant by the breakdown of society? Doesn't it start with people not knowing how to respect other people?

Goodness!!! blkthumbsdown
