Going away to Mexico next month, and never seem to get the right SPF regarding sun lotions.... :(

I once was told as a black person you need a high 1, and was recommended SPF 50 - and spent ALL day rubing the damn thing in, and ended up looking purple!!  So when I went to Greece last year I decided on SPF 15, and ended up with heat rash and having to stay indoors for 3days, with a dose of tablets and creams from the local doc's.....!

I don't want to ruin this holiday, so PLEASE give me some advice on what SPF and also brands that are best on the market....

Thanks Alll...x

ut depends on conditioning to heat and sun.

you could try a 25 spf and see how you go

most sites i have looked up say darker skinned peeps dont need a high spf but when i went to florida i used medium number spf probably 25 i only had slight sun burn on my chest as it is quite fair  but it disappeared within a day.

have you spoke n to your gp
