just wondering there are blacknet T-shirts and baby Ts and other type of accessories that can be bought via usual methods including cheques drawn in pound sterling.
has this even been discussed and what is the likelyhood

| LadyDay: this was discussed last year, i also raised it with Admin..however there really wasn't the interest demostrated on the boards that made it feel like it would be a viable proposition. For the record I still like the idea but I think the Villagers in general need to voice their opinion on the subject...

yea but kunj do you really want the board to be flooded with all sorts
then it will get the blackplanet syndrome
think about it
mods have enough trouble keeping 50/60 heads in check
imagine if the flow was like 400+ at any given time

Yes it was indeed raised last year by moi!
But why wait until the villagers say so, ....(they are are probably too tight!  lol), why not sell/give them anyway, at carnivals, say Notting Hill?

you are on the money girl...but they shoukld make it to the carnivals uk wide to inject some article black culture.. leeds, derby, bradford, luton, birmingham bristol etc etc

LadyDay & Atheba: you both make an extremely good point, one I certainly hadn't considered.. However the point I was making is that it will take an investment of cash to develop a line of memorabilia... What i was thinking is that Villagers need to highlight what they would be willing to shell out cash for ie Mugs, T shirts, sweatshirts what?
I was pushing Athaba's idea hard last year, but without a clear market to sell it to, its a bit hard asking the owners of blacknet to make an investment that may not be recouped.. so people if we want it we need to voice it in considerable numbers..
plus Blackpower: also makes a compelling argument about increased numbers on the board, managing it without increased numbers of moderators would be a nightmare.. Personally I don't want to be drawn into a situation of appointing Moderators without consideration..

i think the car sticker is the best idea
imagine crusing in my car down stratford, and then i spot another car with the blacknet sticker, with a black guy with a villa scarf...yep i iwill make sure i ram the car
