@ Kunjufu
Just to piggy-back on an idea that Mafdet had a while back...It would be nice to have an introduction of the newbies. Whenever someone new registers, the moderator or someone else from the administration team could start a thread welcoming the new peeps and have us all say hello...that way we can be a little familiar with each other.

I know you said that you didn't think it was fair to ban the poster 'candace' as it calls itself, however I feel this 'person' is uknative hiding under another name. The posts from this 'person' are highly offensive and reeks of the same sentiments as uknative ie "all africans are promiscuous and spread AIDS" and the typing style is very similar. Obviously uknative knows it would be banned straight away, therefore masquerading as a black female and not being as extreme would fool most people.
It's up to you whether you ban this 'person' but I feel it should be monitored and watched carefully.
Also, on the point of 'slackness' I feel that's a subjective matter. On discussions about sex, it probably might be a good idea for posters to put a warning at the beginning - similar to the 'long tings alert' - just in case some posters view explicit talk as something offensive. I personally don't mind discussing things like that, but you'd have to excuse my language if it gets a bit colourful in the process, but I'll never needlessly spout nastiness for shock value. Most BN members don't seem to have a problem with 'slack talk' anyway.
Apart from that I can't think of anything else. Just my two cents.

Prince Hakeem: I have done some investigation into the IP address of Candace & Uknative.. they are different, however just to let you know I do moniter some posters more than others...She is one that moniter constantly if as you suspect that i find out or get an founded suspicion that Candace is a trojan horse she/it will be BANNED forthwith...I will also ensure that Candaces IP Provider is notified of her/its activities and action taken against her/it I hope that answers your point..

Just a gentle reminder the excessive use of profanity (swearing to those who don't know what that word means,) is not on, as is the malicious abusing of other posters on this site.. I will if necessary edit those posts that are OTT, failing that I will just remove them from the Village.. Apart from being extremely boring to read, it does not inform or add anything to the general debate..
I thank everyone for their support on this issue...

@KunJuFu
*S*
There you go... not a single swear word in my most recent posts...
You can't say that I ain't trying... *S*
No... but seriously... don't know why peeps be getting upset about a bit of swearing... especially when the abuse is richly deserved...
People need to understand that for me at least... that it's not even necessary to be abusive to be obscene... believe me... some peoples very existence is abusive... *S*
Hmmmmmm...?
***Shrugs shoulders***
Like I said before... not a particularly nice guy...
Language is a tool... words are a tool... the language of cultural violence and genocide comes in many forms... and it's often those who are the most charming... polite with the most warmth... are the ones in a position to do the most damage behind the polite facade their hide behind...
Think about it...
But... LOL... don't worry... I've only got probably until the end of the month on here before I have to knuckle down and stop acting the fool... but you know me... can't resist... especially where there be fools to wind up and take the p.iss out of...
But please feel free to PM me if you think anything cuts it a bit close...
Until then... let the ass-kicking commence...

Ijexa:Although you do push the evelope you were not in my thoughts when I posted my 'gentle' reminder..I have noticed a significant raise in Swearing and abusive language aimed at individuals that is wholly out of context..especially on the under 18's 25's forums.. with a smattering on the open forum.. I think its a bit much when every other word is m/f and m/f that..I'm not a prude if swearing is in context fine, if people want to swear to puntuate a point fine..but just swearing at people without making a point or contradicting the person you disagree with is not only boring, but potentially off putting for other posters..
Ijexa where i feel you are different and yes it is a fine line, but at least you are making a point or your post have a theme..i would be lying if i said the same could said of others no names mentioned..
Mafdet: Rotflmao...

@KunJuFu
Cuz... thought that Ole "Stinky" Spice may have PM'd you about my harsh treatment of her... so thought might as well cover my ass just in case that you might think to draw foot and kick...
But I must admit I'm fascinated by the use of language in all its aspects... but will promise to try walk that rather delicate line without going completely overboard...
Like I said... PM me if things get a bit out of shape...
Respect...
@MafDet
LOL... you go girl... *S*

Then why have the yellow font?

Just a quick update to the Standards & Etiquette of Blacknet..
Names: Just to advise people who choose overtly offensive or sexist names, you will not be allowed to post here.. Moderators are directed to delete the posts of anyone who uses names like 'N****r' 'hitler' or b**ch... Ok!!
New Threads: Just to remind people that there is a moritorium on new mixed race threads, this issue has been done to death and is extremely boring, so unless you have a unique angle on this subject any posts/threads on this subject will be either locked, deleted or merged..
The same rule applies to Black men vs Black women threads, or threads generally abusing either sex..sorry but the above will also apply to this type of threads ..
