I was wondering whether anyone has requested anything like an action group for Blacknet members.
I suppose this would have to be a more private area as it would be a place where ideas can be shared and for actions to be planned meaning we could actually start to tackle issues affecting us here in the UK.
I'm not thinking of any age limit but so often on the boards certain topics have to be avoided. I think there are enough idealistic members here who would actually take the time to really dedicate themselves to an action group.

Rats. Well maybe if we persist this time we could get something off the ground? I don't know how long it was since the last time this was brought up but I'm sure if it had been going something would have been achieved by now, however small.
I like to back up my talk so I would be dedicated.

People pushing and suggesting ideas must ALWAYS take the lead in implementing them and seeing them through if they are serious. Or else they are just asking for something to be done by others and complaining.
Blacknet is a resource. If you have an idea push it through the resource yourself and make it happen.

Ok here is what I have so far. I welcome constructive criticism! I am realistic, I know that only a certain amount can be achieved at once and not every problem can be solved.
Blacknet Action Group

(Volunteer agreements required stating no. of hours per week and duties)
Mission
To pioneer activities in order to uplift members of the black community by focusing on the most pressing that are not currently being addressed (create the Blacknet Action Group Charter)
Strategy
Make noise, create a buzz and get people thinking
Prod people in authority where required!
Create an annual action plan (vision)
Research issues and create POA to fit the cause
Work with existing organisations (seek to link up existing organisations for joint ventures)
Seek sponsorship, target large businesses and government awards

Action plan ideas generator board
Create one large resource for the black community
Spread awareness

Well I'm thinking of militant being defined as "Typically, a militant engages in violence as part of a claimed struggle for achievement of a political goal."
So I was thinking that non-militant would be appropriate to convey a style that would reach more people.
I'm going to work though the initial ideas above because as someone kindly pointed out this would need a lot more organisation than random ideas jotted down before it can realistically get off the ground.

we need to put money in a pot for empowerment. time to build our own schools, civilisations and communities. we need to create our own scholarships for the youths. if we keep looking to white folks for redemption we will be eternal slaves.

When you say our own do you mean black only? If so that would mean segregation and that wouldn't go down too well.
I think now is the time to really think these ideas through. If you could explain your ideas in-depth (I'm going to as well) we'll understand them better and make more progress.

sure thing. i dont care for segregation. thats what they want us to think so we dont rise up. forget about 'not going down too well' we need to start to get to know the self first, then we can progress to the next level.
lets start where our ancestors left off..(the imhoteps, the amenhoteps, sahure's) and begin our genises. and yes, without white folks please.
we need to arrange a meeting between us. I would attend in a heartbeat.
we need to meditate on what we were doing before slavery, and look to our past on how we can build civilizations again. heres some rough ideas.
(quickly)
1) lets appoint some heads of the treasury..
2)we all donate regulary (be it £1 per month or whatever
3) start sponsorships for the youths, out of the kitty with a corresponding workshop for black awareness, to give the youths the self-beleif back.
4) interview the youths.
5)with these sponsorships, assign a mentor who is fluent in that particular field, training her/him.
6)start to build businesses for the black community, food shops, import/export our products etc ect ect
7)at this stage, we need to form an AFRICAN CONSORTIUM for the buying and selling of goods. this will eliminate the asian (i mean no disrespect here) from our products
8)link back to africa. we will build an empire so big, that everyone will have to buy off of africa.
9) start black wealthy communities. i mean in the context of NOT moving out our community just because we made a few quid and drive a jag... stay where we are and build from the foundation UP.
these are just rough ideas. in fact it is my dream that we can acheive this. we need to stop deifying the western world & white folks. we need to stop squabbling. we need to link back to our ancestors. the knowlegde that they had on how to be civil has been locked up in our genetic memory bank, through self-hate and inferiority. singing "we shall overcome" will not help, either.
in fact i am so serious about this. guess what im doing now? learning to become a gas-fitter.
where do we start? by arranging a meeting to write down ideas.
edit:
ive just seen a lady poster above, stating to target large businesses. no, we will still be under too much control from white folks. - we can start by even using the money for something like fruit and veg stalls at markets, shops, domestic appliances ect ect.
but the main thing is at the end of this, we must link to africa.

I shouldn't have mentioned segregation because it's not even anything about that.
It's a cultural (African) group so it's not even about black/white.
I understand that it's better to be strictly FUBU. I will regularly contribute.
I still think that we could individually really develop our ideas before coming together because we can only do so much at a time and we'll need good organisation where people have to stand by their commitment.
I love the import/export idea, to fight free trade and the destruction of African and Caribbean agriculture.

hair dressers
sales people
builders
plumbers
artists
accountants
and even at least 2 pilots 
think of how much talent there is out there.... and how many do you think are working for white folks?
and what happened if we all joined forces, spiritually too?
we need to pray, because "the kingdom of the heavens, is within YOU" and remember your god wants you to have a good life, and be a prosperous people, contrary to white folks teachings of babylon...

I would also like to sugest that anything that is put forward should be done primarily for but not exlusive to the Black African community as I believe this will show us as a community with a posive vision that can operate in a so called 'multicultral' society.
