If you are experiencing problems logging into the Village, please follow the steps below in order to resolve the problem.
On your browser menu bar at the top of the screen, click on 'Tools', from the drop down menu click on 'Internet Options' this will open up a box, below you will see 3 sections, under the 'Temporary Internet Files' section, click on 'Delete Cookies' and then click on the 'Delete Temporary Internet files' situated next to it and then click on 'OK' to exit the 'Internet Options' Section.
After completing this process you MUST refresh your browser. This can be done by pressing F5 or by clicking the 'REFRESH' icon at the top of your browser and then click on the following link: http://www.blackchat.co.uk/theblackforum and log in.
Now attempt to login and ensure that you are using the correct USERNAME & PASSWORD.
If this does not work, you will have to do a full refresh by holding down your 'SHIFT' Key (Usually located on the left hand side of your keyboard above the 'CTRL' key) and then pressing the F5 key. ('SHIFT' + F5)
This should resovle your current login in problems. If you are for some reason still experiencing problems, please contact theblackforums@blacknet.co.uk

@ Kennedy - thanks for the advice, one quick query for you, sometimes when I'm logged in and attempt to reply to or quote a post, a msg appears telling me that "I am not allowed to reply to msgs and that I need to register as a member and If I am a member the administrators/system does not allow me this facility." This doesn't happen all the time just occasionally. I was wondering if this is just me or does it apply to others, and if it is just me what's the cause.

Mine does the same thing sometimes CUTIE and Blackbeauty and it can be annoying!
Kennedy, I've got a problem, the computer I first used to log-in doesn't have "Tools" so what do I do? I've looked through the other options...there's File, Edit, Print, Window, Favourites and Help...none of the drop menus say 'Internet Options'.....HELP!!.......

When I try to access the tools and then internet options, this msg appears "RESTRICTIONS - This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer, contact system administration"
What should I do?

@Kennedy. Two things bro
1. How can I access font size, and use colours for fonts. I am damned if I know because I have done everything which seems to make sense eg block and press the relevent colour, then the other way around etc.
2. How do I enter the dustbin, because I am always denied acccess as a member. But new folks seem to have no problem?

@ Cutie, and anyone else experiencing similar problems...
The message you are getting when trying to clear your cookies and temporary internet files sounds like there is a restriction on your computer which can either be caused by a virus or some software which is protect people from tampering with certain areas of your computer.
The way around this is finding where your cookies are stored in a folder on your PC which may vary depending on the operating system you use. This will then solve any issues you are having with the forum...
Let me know what operating system you are using and I might be able to direct you to the location of the folder where your cookies have been stored.
@ FredBlack...
Could you tell me which operating system and browser version you are using, it may need upgrading to a newer version..
Re: responding in the dustbin: Try searching for the topic using the search box and press reply, that may help...

Fred, if i can remember correctly 2000 is shipped with a version of Explorer that may not give you the access to the full capability of the forum... I could be wrong, but i would suggest updating your internet explorer to the latest version, goto your tool bar and click on 'HELP' then click on 'About' from the menu and check which version you are using.... if it's not 6 then upgrade... let me know how you get on..
PS: I am assuming you are using Internet Explorer if not let me know... I'll do some investigation for you...

i couldn't have beeen banned because this computer isin't even a month old-when i 1st tried to log inwhen i got the PC it says access denied but when i use the same name on a different PC it lets me in lol

HELP!!!
I've got a problem, the black forum page wont load on my computer at home. It goes through to the main page http://www.blackchat.co.uk but when I press on the link to the black forums it just brings up a white page with black writing telling me I'm unable to access the site! What do you think it could be? It was working before!!!

Hi Sassy... if you are using another computer... the simple answer is that you will either need to delete you cookies and re log in... or Disable you firewall... and re log back in if you do have a firewall.... please update me on your problem...
Or when the error page appears.... try and resfresh the page.....

Hi Everyone,
If you had followed to the letter everything Kennedy had stated above about how to deal with logging in problems and you still cannot log on, try this:
Check your firewall.
If you have Norton ...
Open your firewall.
Click the 'Privacy' tab, then 'Configure', then set the control to 'Default'.
Click 'OK'
Then try to log in again.
I do not advise disabling your firewall.
