Does anyone know how employers can recruit people for work in the UK from abroad?

Thank you Coltrane for the links.
I been to these sites before, but I am sorry to report that I did not find them helpful.
The information were mainly about employees who are already here, than about how to bring them in.
I also tried the foreign office, but they said it's not their department to deal with these issues(!). 
I'd love to hear from anyone with experience in this.

maybe if you were more specific but its not a big deal especially if you got all the paperwork properly

Sorry if you thought I was vague, I didn't think I was.
What did you mean by 'paperwork'? What paperwork is that? And how is it not a big deal?
Is it a case of sending some sort of advertising in the country you want to recruit from, potential candidate applies, you accept and voila, they are here?
