Have a thing with not involving family in any business endevor. Thing is it can be fun and supportive, streangth giving in that way. Many family members are happy to be involved in another members success as it normally means the best for them all.
Personally I'm the white sheep of the family, the radical outcast, so maybe things are diffrent but for the most part I still hold that its best to keep family away from business as arguments spill over and become disputes and what not... Then again if my family couldn't work together we wouldn't have got anywhere at all so maybe I'm wrong.
What do you think?
Is it best to, 'keep it in the family' or is it too much of a risk?

Not sure thinking about it, because at first you think there are going to be more liberties taken, but then again you are keep money between yourselves so that should motivate a person.
I've seen businesses fail because too much 'I'll do it tomorrow Cuz' but then I've also seen businesses become a sucess because ' If you don't do this work now, I will wriite you out of my will' lol!
I think its down to the work ethos one has instilled in their family, some people just aren't meant to work together, same with friends too.

Sure business and family can mix.
Some successful examples that come to mind are the Graves at Black Enterprise, the Johnsons at Ebony, the Tatums at the NY Amsterdam News...
I think the key would be to remember that it is a business: working towards the goal and making sure every employee toes the line along the journey.

Money and blood don't mix like two dicks and no b!tch..find yourself in serious sh!t.
A wise man once told me when dealing with money you are better off involving your family cos if they cheat you then at least it's your family who has the money.

Sure they can mix. What ususally happens (as in the case of my two cousins who are brothers) is that once some real money starts to be made its then you see who's heart is clean from who's is dutty.
Want to find out a person's character. Give them the chance to earn big money. Family or not. Family run businesses have been around since day dot. So dont see why it cant work. But there are members of my family I wouldnt entertain going in business with. Because I know how they stay already.

Money destroys all relationships between people classified as Black whenever money was the purpose of their relationship.
All currency accepted by the World Bank and the IMF if blood currency.
The White Supremacist Racist Terrorists in world finance keep value in their favourite currencies by causiing blood shed among non-white people and the devaluation of all currencies of non-white countries.
